Main flavor:

In the process of making Sesame Oil Meridian, the sesame seeds are carefully roasted to bring out their full aroma, and then the sesame oil is cold pressed, once pressed, without refining. Low pressing temperature and no refining retains the authentic aroma of roasted sesame, not roasted oil, which is the case when oil is pressed at high temperatures, giving the sesame a sharp, almost bitter taste.

Sesame seed oil is perfect as a salad dressing, an addition to pasta and Asian dishes, where, due to its extremely intense aroma, it is used rather as a spice than a typical oil, it is added in small amounts to the ready dish or at the very end its preparation. It should be remembered that sesame oil has a low smoke point (it should not be heated to a temperature higher than 70 degrees), it burns quickly and is not suitable for frying, it is used possibly for quick frying in a wok, but as an accompanying oil, not base.

Sesame oil is a source of Omega 6 and Omega 9, it is a good source of vitamins and minerals, it helps lower blood pressure and inhibits the synthesis and absorption of cholesterol. The lowering of blood pressure is probably the effect of polyunsaturated fatty acids and sesamine - a compound from the lignan group. Sesame oil is rich in precious zinc, which supports the body in the fight against colds or flu.
