The new Optimum Bar is a chocolate coated protein bar featuring a gooey layer at the top below the chocolate, and a truly game-changing center - very soft and smooth,you wouldn't expected how incredible is the consistency that Optimum has actually managed to pack into this bar!

Employing the same layered texture made famous by Carb Killa, Optimum have combined this with a texture which is closer to the whipped, airy texture of Optimum Whipped Bites product; with 20g of protein per bar, and less than 2g of sugar and approximately 200 calories per bar from a combination of predominantly milk protein isolate and whey isolate, there is little doubt that the Optimum Protein Bar is superior to the average protein bar around and certainly features better ingredients than Carb Killa - in fact it might be a potential Grenade Carbkilla dominant position killer!

The closest thing we can compare the consistency of the Optimum Protein Bar to is marshmallow, and that is in no way an exaggeration - your teeth sink right through the bar, similar to how smooth a bite of a soft marshmallow can be.

The crazy thing is that despite how soft, light and fluffy the Optimum Protein Bar feels, it doesn’t fold or flop when you hold it upright. It is fortunate that the consistency is good on this one, as even though it is easy to eat, it doesn’t pack too much sweetness or flavor in its chocolate outer, gooey layer, or even the main body.

Średniak w smaku nadrabia tekstura

Baton składa się głównie z masy białkowej z czekolada, wiec polaczenie typowe jak na batony białkowe. Jednak wyroznia go konsystencja, która jest delikatna, latwa do zjedzenia, nie jest lepka i klejaca. Pokusilabym sie o stwierdzenie ze jest to cos na wzor twardszej pianki.

Smak niestety pozostawia wiele do zyczenia. Pierwsze skrzypce gra tutaj typowy białkowy smak, lekko gorzkawy i pozostawiajacy nieprzyjemny posmak po zjedzeniu. Smak orzechowy jest mało wyczuwalny.

Ocena za konsystencje 8/10, piankowa struktura jest jeszcze malo spotykana w batonach bialkowych, wie doceniam pomysl.

Ocena za smak 5/10, za gorzki smak, nieprzyjemny posmak i za slaby smak masla orzechowego.

Ciężko mi dogodzić jeśli chodzi o smak masła orzechowego w batonach. W tym wypadku dostajemy baton z posypką (która dla mnie na pierwszy rzut była orzechami :D), masa która faktycznie jest delikatna i bardzo dobra, no i to masło orzechowe. Baton ma bardzo wyrazisty smak masła orzechowego. Nie czułem smaku pianki, bo smak masła przyćmił wszystko inne. Całość oblana grubą warstwą ciemnej czekolady, która nie kruszy się, nie odpada. Udało się mi dogodzić, baton bardzo smaczny i bardzo masło-orzechowy :D
